The Sims Medieval is a game like none of the other Sims games, in a way some players were receptive to this, while others not so much. I love The Sims Medieval.

The Sims Medieval is a Sims game dated to the medieval time period, you play a monarch. You also have other hero sims you play, with the purpose being to build and raise your kingdom. You have kingdom ambitions, which lays out the ultimate goal for your kingdom.

There are quite a few humorous things in The Sims Medieval such as having your sim die by pit beast. This is where your sim would be sent to the pit, and they would have to jump in. Once the sim jumps in, then there is a small chance for survival. Like any other game, The Sims Medieval is not without its flaws outlined in a previous article of mine.

There is definitely more of a purpose with kingdom ambitions, responsibilities, and quests that you can do, though you have less on the needs which can tend to make things a little boring and a little less challenging. At least it would feel less challenging. I love the grim reaper and feel that the one in The Sims Medieval looks better than the other Sims games. Then again, my favorite color combination is black & red, so that could be why.

I am obsessed with royalty and the medieval time period is one of my favorite eras, so getting a sims game that touches on this obsession just makes my day. To have a Sims game where I can run a kingdom is a dream come true for me. Though there are things EA could have done better, it does not kill my enjoyment of the game. I have taken my time completing the kingdom ambitions, as I know once I complete all the ambitions, I will have no more reason to play The Sims Medieval, and I want to enjoy the game for a while longer.

Do you play Sims Medieval? What do you love about it?
